IPL 3: Day 19 Review…
Hi guys,
Its Day 19 in IPL 3…
Match 27 Review:
Kings XI Punjab Vs Mumbai Indians
Two teams of total contrast to say, One team heads the points table and the other just languishing in the bottom of the table and really finding difficult to find back the form. Sachin won the toss and decided to bowl first, With the formidable team to backup, he can merely ignore them. Mahela being the new captain for KXIP, (Dont think Sangakarra was removed from the squad bcos of his performance) he is fined for the slow over rate, Remember last match he took 1.45 hours to bowl 20 overs. Another fact to add, Today, Sachin took almost the same hours to bowl…. So keep ur eyes open for a MI, May be without Sachin for the next match, r just some fine will do too….
Coming back to match, KXIP needed a better start than previous outings, But it wasn’t the case, as Zak removed Bopara cheaply for a single, Shaun Marsh back into team in place of Sangakarra(if u very well remember he is the orange cap winner in 2008), Shaun started the things of well, inspite of losing Bisla too cheaply, Stand in Skipper and Marsh did play really well, eventhough the boundaries are hard to come, both too risky singles and ran well between the wickets. But one too many in the end, ended their partnership with a bizarre runout. Out of form Yuvraj didnt make much impression either, in between Shaun marsh scored his 6th IPL fifty,(first of this season in his very first game). Just when KXIP thought to accelerate, Slinger Malinga came to destroy their hope as he removed Pathan and Marsh in back to back deliveries. From then on wickets fell every over, and many didnt make trouble to scorecard, except Chawla who got KXIP to a score if 163 with few lus(c)ty blows… 🙂 Preity was quite contented with the score it seems…
KXIP 163/10 in 20 overs.
S.Marsh 57 P.Chawla 22
Malinga 4/22 Zaheer 3/34
MI 164/6 in 19.3 overs.
S.Dhawan 50 S.Tiwary 31
Bopara 3/31 Pathan 1/20
MI WON THE MATCH BY 4 WICKETS.
After a commendable bowling performance, Mumbai began well the chase, as Sachin became the highest run getter in IPL and now the proud owner of Orange Cap. (Seriously Orange doesn’t look cool with dark blue, Whatever), Just when he crossed Kallis, he was caught in long on and had to head back to pavilion, Pollard walked in at no.3 to all surprise, Both Dhawan and pollard played out another 5 overs and scored the required run rate score, in the brief innings Pollard had a go at chwla, taking him for a four and six. Bopara came in to bowl and he did pick Dhawan who just completed his fifty. All of a sudden runs dried up and KXIP started feeling they are having the chance in the game, As Rayudu walked back to a soft dismissals followed Bravo, after a highest six(not longest)… With 3 overs to go 31 to win, Tiwary and Satish sticked together and got the necessary runs and held their nerves, Eventhough Tiwary was out in the last ball of 19th over, Sathish kept himself cool and faced Brett lee and did score 6 runs which is necessary to take Mumabi Indians home (Thanks to sloppy fielding from KXIP), to the joy of Mukesh Ambani, whos jumping in the lobby. To mention eventhough KXIP got the necessary runs r either their Bowling was good, Fielding so poor, which has totally let their team down. Mumbai Indians won the match by 4 wickets and points table will have no reflections just other than the increased points for Mumbai Indians.
Standings as on Day 19 in IPL 3:

IPL 3: Day 18 Review…
Hi guys,
Its Day 18 in IPL…
Match 26 Review:
Delhi Daredevils Vs Kolkata Knight Riders
Both teams have a similar run till now, Won their first two matches and lost three games on a row and pulled back one. So which means this game gonna give the cutting edge over the other. Gambhir won the toss and decided to bat first. Surprise to see Dilshan and AB de villers out of the playing eleven and in comes Paul collingwood to take his first IPL game. Shewag walked with Warner to take guard, Typical Shewag’s starting, went for shots right from ball one and out in ball three of first over. Next over Gambhir departed in the last ball of the over, and 3 rd over last ball Dinesh karthik departed for duck. 3 wickets in the last ball of first 3 overs. KKR are over the moon, shud say a dream start, Sharukh would have doubled his bet by this time, But things went different as David Warner and Paul Collingwood joined together to gather runs, a effortless excellent partnership, Warner did take the risk and paul just nudged singles and played around him, at one stance spinners seems to keep really tight, (there were 26 deliveries bowled without a boundary between 12 to 17 overs), Collingwood took charge and smacked few over the ground to break free the things, then came the moment for David Warner as he raised his bat in the last over to a gr8 applause infront of the home crowd. His knock of 107* is one of best ever seen in a IPL game… Another one to note is David Hussey’s Brilliant Catch to remove Collingwood, He jumped first to stop the ball from reaching six, then knows, he is off balance, throes ball back in the air, and comes back to take the ball back as a catch… Me describing will not give u the real feel, just watch it in Youtube, awesome and worth a watch too…
DD 177/4 in 20 overs.
D.Warner 107* P.Collingwood 53
C.Langeveldt 2/35 Gayle 1/38
KKR 137/9 in 20 overs.
Gayle 30 D.Hussey 29
U.Yadav 2/27 A.Mcdonald 2/37
DD WON THE MATCH BY 40 RUNS.
In a pitch that slows down as time goes on, KKR started chasing 178, start wasn’t so ideal, as Dada walked across the line to run it down third man boundary but ending up losing the leg stump. Followed Mandeep Singh, Followed Manoj Tiwary to pavilion along with the skipper in another space of 10 balls. KKR would have fancied seeing DD who bounced back after losing first 3 quickly, indeed they had two of the best batsmen out in crease, Gayle and David Hussey, who could win them the game, Gayle got the boundary every over to keep a check on the run rate, but its always in the cards, he lofted one to long on of rajat bahtia and this time mishra holded to it. (Shewag dropped him earlier) Hussey and yadav played out but couldn’t control the run rate by any means it crept to 15 per over when hussey mistimed a fulltoss. From then on, nothing more to pen as all walked to paly out 20 overs and they did successfully in doing it. and fell short of 40 runs… Handing a biggest victory margin for DD.
Standings as on Day 18 In IPL 3:
Interesting Facts on DAY 18 in IPL 3:
– Biggest win for DD in IPL, also their first home win of this year.
– David Warner scored the 10th IPL century, 2nd of this season and which is also his first ever in IPL.
– David warner century is the 5th by the Aussie in IPL. (50% domination)
– David Warner also becomes the highest scorer of this season as of today, with 107*, overtaking, Yusuf’s 100.
– 26 balls without boundary is the highest for this season.

– Warner Hit the 250 six of this IPL tournament.
– with 25 fours Ishant tops the list of boundary givers.
At the end of DAY 18:

IPL 3: Day 17 Review…
Hi guys,
Its a month end Sunday in march…. finally one day to spend in peace without mobile ringing all the time and me circling ppl all the time… In the end a day to relax and be free…
Its Day 17 in IPL 3… A Double header day… A good time pass too… Thought of going to movie Angadi theru, finally IPL spoiled the party….
Match 24 review:
Chennai Super Kings Vs Rajasthan Royals
Chennai desperately needing to win the match comes under tremendous pressure against a team which now has a full momentum by winning three in a row…
Dhoni luck ran out in winning the coins and he lost the toss today too, Warne decided to take strike first… To say Michael lumb gave RR a terrific start, he was out for 30, but he did his job as a opener in a T20 game. Naman Ojha joined Fazal and batted out brilliantly with a solid platform things were very easy, that too with a depleted bowling effort from CSK, all are going in the royals way. In the beginning to second ten overs, Jakthi picked to quick wickets to bring back hope for CSK, i would say its late already, few lusty blows from Adam Voges, Ojha, and Pathan took them to a total of 177/8. As usual none seemed to have killer blow in bowling, even Spin mastero Murali failed to pick one for the day… Jakati being the pick of the day with 2 wickets.
RR 177/8 in 20 overs.
N.Ojha 80 M.Lumb 30
Jakthi 2/30 A.Morkel 2/46
CSK 160/6 in 20 overs.
M.Vijay 42 Morkel 28
Tait 2/22 Y.Pathan 1/26
RR WON THE MATCH BY 17 RUNS.
Again needing to win the game, CSK needed a good start but again it didnt happen as Hayden went for 19 with scorecard reading 24 after 4 overs. The very next over Murali Vijay showed some brilliance by scoring 24 runs, which means 50 in 5 overs… Looked like CSK were back on track. Three quite overs in the middle put back the pressure and Murali vijay went to pavilion to pay for his casual attitude. Will call this the twist of the match. As raina also departed to a very good spinning delivery from Shane… End of 10 overs CSK were 80/3, needing 98 in the last 10. Chennai lost the plot in the middle overs without any doubt, as they scored only 39 runs in 30 balls, with two best batsmen out in the crease. (Dhoni and Badrinath)… I didn’t know, why even badrinath didnt take chance to score run… Whatever, it was left too late and when Dhoni tried to accelerate he was Run out (i am sure Badrinath will get kicked in dressing room today) denting all the hope of Chennai fans.. (Mine too 😦 ) Morkel came in, all of a sudden he blasted 3 consecutive sixes to give a slim chance, but its all over in the next over as Tait sent back both Badrinath and Morkel back to pavilion. Cant blame them much too, req rate was killing them, None more just CSk played out the official deliveries and ended with 160/6 in 20 overs. Falling 17 runs short of the target….
With this loss, now curtains are closing out for CSK to make out for Semi’s. With 7 games in hand they need to pull minimum of 6 and hope the rest loses and give way for them… Seems funny right…? Being Chennai fan will fancy tat too… 🙂 🙂
Match 25 review:
Deccan Chargers Vs Mumbai Indians
Deccan’s will look to snatch and stop Mumbai’s winning spree… Deccan’s got Kemar Roach today in place of Chaminda vaas. Mumbai just switched their keeper tare with Rayudu, and retained their winning squad…Raoch fired up his first over (to say i wasn’t impressed much) Sachin’s subliminal form continued and he scored runs with ease, along with Bravo in the other end. Gilly had a good bowling change and got RP singh back into the attack and he did get 2 imp wickets in the very first over. Rayudu, Satish Bravo and Pollard played around sachin for brief moments and played a sedated part. Sachin scored his fifty and caught out in the very next ball. At the end of 17 overs they are 120/7.. Any statiscian in the world would have said, MI will end up scoring max of 150 in 20 overs. But its all different as one man walked with turban, Bhajji sung bangra to Deccan’s bowling and they looked mere puppets in his hands, he went on to score 49* in just 18 balls. Which ended Mumbai Indians innings with a amazing score of 172/7 in 20 overs.
MI 172/7 in 20 overs.
Sachin 55 Harbhajan 49*
RP Singh 3/31 P.Ojha 2/24
DC 131/10 in 17.4 overs.
R.Sharma 45 Gibbs 27
Harbhajan 3/31 Malinga 3/12
MI WON THE MATCH BY 41 RUNS.
After a terrific finish with Bat, Bhajji was given the ball to open the bowling for MI, (shud say a brilliant move by Sachin) and Oh boy, he is with golden arm today, stuck in the very second ball of the over and removed Dangerman Gillly for a duck. After a small pause, gibbs got six back to back sixes of Zak’s over, but later did have the last laugh as he removed Gibbs of the same over. Nothing more i can write abt Deccan’s batting as all came in and walked back just as a ritual. Even symonds didnt make much difference, once again its Rohit shrama who waged the lone battle for Deccan’s… Bowling for Mumbai was superp as Malinga, Zaheer and Bhaji picked 3 each and lone one went to pollard.
Overall a terrific job by Mumbai and all round performance by them…

IPL 3: Day 16 Review…
Hi guys,
Its Day 16 in IPL 3…
Match 23 Review
Kings XI Punjab Vs Kolkata Knight Riders
Both teams languishing in the bottom of the table, will look to win this and move up, which also means, who ever loses will stay in the bottom of the table… More than KKR its a very imp game for KXIP to pull this one…
Ganguly won the toss and decided to Bat first, he walked out with Gayle to open the innings, for KXIP its Brett Lee who is back to their squad opened the things up, shud say not a gr8 start for KXIP for their strike bowler, he gave up 19 runs in over 1. Sanga made quick movement in bowling got srivatsava, and it did bring immediate reward, as they got Gayle with a good catch from Bisla. Mandeep singh, young indian player walked in as the first down, but couldn’t make much impact, fell to a well direct short delivery. Tiwary joined the skipper to mend the things from there on, of course they did it well, scored 79 runs between them in a span of 57 deliveries. Dada got out after making fifty.. He quite happy playing his part. From then on its one man show, as Young Tiwary took charge and got runs coming in thick. esp in last over of Pathan he picked 21 runs which really changed the course of the match. (first and last over together made up 40 runs)… KXIP took almost 1 hr and 45 mins to finish up the bowling, which means Sanga will be in trouble again. This time Match ban is wide open…. Preity isn’t smiling anymore….
KKR 183/5 in 20 overs.
M.Tiwary 75* Ganguly 50
Pathan 2/42 Srivatsava 2/23
KXIP 144/6 in 20 overs.
Yuvaraj 24 Sangakarra 30
S.Bond 2/24 Agarkar 2/32
KKR WON THE MATCH BY 39 RUNS.
Sangakarra sent out Yuvi as the opener in a Must win game along with Bopara. To all their shock, Bond stuck in the very second ball to send Bopara back to hut… Which got Bisla in, both did play out the Powerplay overs. Yuvi took Agarkar for a Boundary and followed by half a dozen, but Agarkar came back to pin Yuvi, Tiwary being the brilliant catch taker. i cant write much about anyone as none performed exceptionally, just came in chipped for one r two overs and left the crease. One partnership which could have made the difference is that of srilankan’s Mahela and Sangakarra, but it didnt stick quite effectively… Pathan, Goel in the end just reduced the margin of loss. KXIP ended losing the match by 39 runs. Serious come back from Sharukh boys, Good Job…
Standings as on DAY 16:
Interesting Facts on DAY 16 in IPL 3:
– Previously both team has won 2 games each, by the end, Its KKR edge past KXIP.
– Ganguly became the first man in this season to be dismissed in a free hit delivery. (any way it didnt count.. 🙂 )
– 19/0 is the highest ever scored by KKR in the very first over in this season.
– Before this match KKR’s avg score was 139.
– Most sixes conceded by any bowler P.Chawla heads with 37, followed by Shane warne 36 and praveen kumar 35. (till today)

– 39 runs victory is the second biggest win for KKR in IPL tournament.

IPL 3: Day 15 Review…
Hi guys,
Its Day 15 in IPL 3…
Match 22 Review:
Rajasthan Royals Vs Deccan Chargers
Both the teams coming after very good wins, will look to keep the things and momentum going their way. Gilly won the toss and decided to bat first… But i am sure he didn’t expect to see himself back in pavilion in the very first after deciding to bat first. Gibbs came in place of gilly and smashed shots to mend for the early exit of skipper. Laxman once again tried to play a ugly pull shot to get himself out… I guess he shud realise, T20 is not only abt slogging but also abt class, just like the one from Little master yesterday. Symonds joined Gibbs and made sure they cross 50 before powerplay overs, Desperately needing a breakthru Warne brought himself on and did produce one of the beauty of his old times to remove settled Gibbs… Can call this twist of the day…? Ofcourse on the course of the match it is indeed. Deccan’s lost their plot and lost wickets in regular intervals and kudos to excellent fielding effort too… Even half chances were converted… Rohit Sharma after being included in the world cup squad, he made sure, he made justice to selection panel, stayed till the end and fell a single short of his 50. Overall a dismal performance from deccans and brilliant performance from Royals to restrict them under 150…
DC 148/9 in 20 overs.
R.Sharma 49 Gibbs 25
S.Tait 3/22 Narwal 2/35
RR 151/2 in 15.4 overs.
Y.Pathan 73* M.Lumb 45
P.Ojha 1/40 Symonds 0/9
RR WON THE MATCH BY 8 WICKETS.
Rajasthan royals would have taken a score less tha 150 any day in a good batting surface and infront of their home crowd. They did begin well their chase as Lumb gave them a blistering start, they raised fifty in just 5 overs. Gilly needed some one to give him a break, as expected he turned to golden arm boy, Pragyan Ojha, O well!!! he did provide the vital breakthru required, but it didn’t bring fortunes in turn it brought in a nemesis named Yusuf Pathan. he is just in one mood tat is to kill the opposition and he did tat with a surgery knife’s precision. Sure, the whole DC would have felt the pain… May be v can say, deccan’s lacked a bowler who could trouble Yusuf with a shorter delivery, not even a single one bowled at him. So no regrets for Rajasthan royals as the went on for a thumping win with 8 wickets in hand. Massacre Pathan scored 73* with 8 huge hits over the ropes.
Next game for Royals is Vs CSK… To say i am bit scared now… God pls get some one to bowl shorter deliveries at Yusuf…. Match is on Sunday… Waiting for it eagerly…
Standings as on DAY 15:
Interesting Facts on DAY 15 in IPL 3:
– Gilly leads in most no.of sixes hit in IPL tournament so far, with 57, Yusuf is just in verge to go past, as he is now at 56.
– Yusuf Pathan got his 3rd Man of the Match award of this season.
– Yusuf pathan scored his 6th ipl fifty.
– With 8 sixes for the day, he takes a unassasible lead in most no.of sixes hit by any. He leads with 19, followed by Robin Uthappa in 12.
– Shane Warne’s 1/15 is the best bowling performance for him in this IPL.
– Lumb became the 12th batsmen to be run out for Rajasthan Royals in this season of IPL.
At the end of DAY 15:
Total no.of Boundaries – 652
Total no.of Sixes – 217
Orange Cap – J.Kallis (310) followed by Sachin Tendulkar (248) and Yusuf Pathan(242).

IPL 3: Day 14 Review…
Hi guys,
Its Day 14 in IPL 3…
Match 20 Review:
Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Delhi Daredevils
After losing 3 straight games Delhi will certainly look to get back in the winning ways, but they will take on the team which really performing at his best. Still Gambhir is not back, which meant Dinesh Karthik walked out for toss along with Jumbo in his home ground. Kumble won the toss and decided to bowl first. Warner got Delhi off to a flyer, Even Shewag looked so silent on the other end. Dale steyn was taken taken to blues, n his first over, but he came back strong to pick the man who tormented him, Warner… in another 10 balls space, Shewag departed for 12 in 11 balls… Strange to see… De villers and Karthik kept scoring runs from both ends and runrate was quite good over 9 all the time. Birthday man, Kedar Jhadev made his debut today walked in to replace Karthik after a misfortunate run out. Oh boy, he did play a splendid innings, Good looking shots all over the ground, in the last over he did score his Maiden Fifty. Late flourish McDonald ensured DD went past 180 runs. With 20 oves down, DD 183/4…
DD 183/4 in 20 overs.
K.Jhadav 50* DE Villers 45
Vinay Kumar 1/29 Steyn 1/42
RCB 166/9 in 20 overs.
Pandey 39 Kohli 38*
A.Mishra 2/23 McDonald 2/42
DD WON THE MATCH BY 17 RUNS.
RCB certainly need a good start from their openers, which is always provided bu Kallis and Pandey. Today wasn’t an exception as both put on a very good partnership of 71 runs for the first wicket. Kallis departed for 27 to a very good delivery from Mishra. Shud i call this a twist of the game….? That’s how it looked, just bcos it triggered a huge collapse in the RCB, within the space 2 overs, array of wickets were down and RCB collapsed to 90/4 losing their top 4. Surely shud mention the bowling of Delhi, as they really bowled to the field and didnt allow Bangalore to bring the runrate down. Just to mention Kohli, Morgan tried to do something but it wasn’t to be… Ending 166/9 in 20 overs, which meant they fell short of 17 runs. Bangalore lost their 2 match of this season and Delhi put a hold to their losing streak.
Match 21 Review:
Chennai Super Kings Vs Mumbai Indians
The most strong team without doubt, its Mumbai Indians without doubt as they have all the things a T20 team needs… They Bat really deep almost till 10 with the availability of Zaheer and Bhajji to help out, coming to bowling Malinga and Zaheer two best Depth Bowlers without doubt, with the glimpse of Bravo, Bhajji and Mclaren bowling is really solid. Apart from this they have a fielding coach who previously coached Indian team… Robin Singh… So it shud be ok… Which means if u wanna call a Pakka Solid team then here it is…
I think i said too much abt MI’s…. Whatever with a huge cheer Sachin won the toss and decided to bowl first. Hayden sans Mangoose walked with Parthiv walked the ground. First over was quite cool, but things heated up when Hayden decided to take on Zak, just like 2003 world cup where he smashed him… Hayden smashed here for 4 consecutive boundaries, when he decided to bring Mangoose in, Bhajji spinned one back fast to trap him right infront of the stumps. In space of another 6 balls, Patel went back to hut… Can say tats the last time Mumbai crowd cheered for a wicket, bcos, from then two men took the charge and never looked getting dismissed at any point, they did use the pace, gaps and ran very well between the wickets and mainly they made sure they get a good score on board. With 20 overs down, CSK scored 180/2, Raina on 83* and Badrinath on 55*… With a staggering partnership of 142 from 94 balls…
CSK 180/2 in 20 overs.
S.Raina 85* Badrinath 55*
Bhajji 1/25 McLaren 1/23
MI 184/5 in 19 overs.
Sachin 72 Dhawan 56
Murali 2/32 Joginder 1/22
MI WON THE MATCH BY 5 WICKETS.
Chasing a score of 181 is tough for any team but as i have already mentioned in the beginning, its easy for this team, with the glimpse of Sachin, Bravo, Pollard and young indians Tare, Tiwari…. Its shud be a chase able one 8 out of 10 times. Tendulkar and Dhawan started the things good, and with the help from CSK’s bowling, scored came faster than expected, and Dhawan’s aggressive mood got past them 63 in the powerplay overs. And finally CSK broke the partnership just b4 the strategic timeout. Jakathi being the bowler, and very next over, Spin Maestro Murali sent back Tiwary for just a couple… CSK felt they were right back in the game. Is this the twist we are looking for….? Not so, Just bcos Sachin along with Pollard, and bravo made sure they get past the winning rope safely. Not to mention the bowling performance of CSK, the worst ever seen in the IPL so far… If some had counted the no.of Full Toss they bowled, Pls let me know, i ll add up in the interesting facts… None other than Murali was convincing for a T20 game… Hope Venkatesh Prasad and Stephen Fleming had a point to note in their Black book….
Standings as on DAY 14:

IPL 3: Day 13 Review…
Hi guys,
Its Day 13 in IPL 3…
Match 19 Review:
Kings XI Punjab Vs Rajasthan Royals
Both teams are the in the bottom of the table, and coming back after a win, who ever wins will climb up to 5th place of the table. So this game is certainly important for both the team. KXIP will like to drive on their home ground advantage, but ironically they have lost their previous home games.
Sanga won the toss and decided to Bowl first, KXIP brought back Sreesanth in place of Powar. (May be CSK cud have won on the other day if Sreesanth was ter…. 🙂 ) Lumb and Naman Ojha started the things off well, runs came in thick, even though Sreesanth wasn’t at his best, he picked Ojha and gave KXIP the vital breakthru. After a good knock by Lumb, he was removed by Sanga with a smart bit of work behind the stumps… Fazal and Yusuf Pathan joined the crease and played their game, just bcos they had a very good platform to walk for, Pathan was once reprieved by his brother Irfan, but not the second time, Yuvi being the bowler. From then on, its just two man’s show as Fazal and Adam Voges played a classy and breezy T20 knock to put down a score of 183 in 20 overs, in pitch which seemed to help bowlers a bit…
RR 183/5 in 20 overs.
A.Voges 45* Fazal 45
Sreesanth 1/20 Chawla 1/29
KXIP 152/10 in 19.1 overs.
Bisla 35 Sangakarra 29
S.Tait 3/22 S.Trivedi 2/25
RR WON THE MATCH BY 31 RUNS.
KXIP would certainly love to have a very good start to chase a score of 184, It seemed they got a good one, as they last their first wicket for 41, with just four overs gone… And Bisla came in and his idea was clearly defined and he went on blazing from the ball one… At the end of 6 overs they were at 76/1… No team could get a better start than this, which brought down the run rate close to 7.5… But Rajasthan Skipper came up a plan and set up Bisla and Bisla fell prey for it… Which u can call it twist for the day… Later Trivedi picked Yuvi, which made royals to get back into the game, and all of a sudden panic in KXIP and they lost wickets in hurry, one after the other followed and no one tried to score are to the least tried to keep the wicket, Mahela came in 6th down, didnt have much option rather to attack the bowling, which he failed miserably… Yusuf Pathan bowled a beautiful little spell picking up two crucial wickets… Tait ended the match with a Straight yorker to the throat of Srivatsava who couldn’t digest it…
Adam Voges won the Man of the Match for his innings which ensured 2 points for RR.
In the end, Its Royals who ride high and move to 5th position just behind CSK… Things are really getting serious for KXIP now, if they have to qualify for semi’s…

IPL 3: DAY 12 Review…
Hi guys,
Its DAY 12 in IPL 3…
Match 18 Review:
Chennai Super Kings Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore
Raina won the toss and decided to Bowl first, And drama started right from the very over, as Morkel and whole CSK unsuccessfully appealed for a caught behind decision for J.Kallis. (Hope all know, he is yet to be dismissed in Season 3)… Later in the second over of Morkel Balaji seems to miss the ball in the crowd and give a reprieve for kallis again. Pandey on the other end, just kept on scoring runs in normal pace, After putting down the catch Balaji came in to bowl and Oh boy, didn’t he create history here, he just dismissed Kallis after being not out for 12 days in IPL 3… Dravid joined Pandey and displayed few classy shots before failing to cut a delivery towards backward point. Murali came back again to remove Pandey this time… Spin master became the purple cap owner with this wicket… He could have picked one more and very imp of Uthappa if Ashwin had holded on to one reverse sweep from him,.. CSK fielding lapse proved very costly as Uthappa being the switched to thrashing mode in the last 3 overs, and cleared the fence in ease. Which ensured RCB finished their innings with 171/5… Bowling Murali mantra was the best without any doubt, Morkel was as best in Pace…
RCB 171/5 in 20 overs.
Uthappa 68 Kohli 24
Murali 3/25 Morkel 1/28
CSK 135/7 in 20 overs.
Hayden 32 Badrinath 31
Vinay Kumar 4/40 Kumble 1/15
RCB WON THE MATCH BY 36 RUNS.
Chasing a score of 172 CSK needed one of their best starts, but it didn’t happen and parthiv was out in the very first over, later both Hayden and Bailey was kept really quite by RCB’s brilliant bowling, both weren’t given any room to free their arms at any stage, which meant CSK did score only 29 runs in first 6 power play overs. Run rate kept increasing all over the time and occasional boundary and six doesnt seems to bring it down… Finally Hayden brought in Mangoose to get 3 consecutive boundaries of kallis, but his surge was halted by a unexpected runout in 10th over, later Bailey agony too got over with a good moving away delivery from vinay kumar. Req runrate was never under the control of CSK, as skipper, Vijay, Badri, Morkel and Ashwin just played their part to end up in the losing side, full credit to RCB bowlers, as their line and length was spot on and they did make CSK work for every run… In the end RCB won the match by 36 runs, last two over of CSK went for 41 runs which really made the difference in the game… Without any doubt Robin Uthappa was the man of the match for his Match winning knock 68*.

IPL 3: Day 11 Review…
Hi guys,
Its Day 11 in IPL 3…
Match 17 Review:
Mumbai Indians Vs Kolkata Knight Riders
Mumbai being the best ever team will look to get back to winning terms as they lost last game against RCB, and the same goes for KKR’s… They did start off well, but lost 2 games from then…
Ganguly won the toss and decided to Bat first, they got in Chris Gayle instead of Brad Hodge. Both Dada and Gayle opened the innings and kept on scoring at a slow pace, really all witnessed a unlike gayle… who was so quite didnt look for agressive shots as he used to be… Ganguly on the other end, occupied the crease tats it, didnt really make much move to rise up the runrate. He finally got out to a lovely delivery from Bhajji. Owasis shah joined gayle and added few runs, but certainly Mumbai game with a game plan, they did bowl the yorkers really well… which didnt allow batsmen to free their arms. which meant that KKR scored just 155/3 in 20 overs, with gayle getting out only in the last delivery of the innings. Very much unlike happening….
KKR 155/3 in 20 overs.
C.Gayle 75 Ganguly 31
Zaheer 2/27 Harbhajan 1/17
MI 156/3 in 18.3 overs.
Sachin 71* S.Tiwary 30
I.Sharma 2/44 M.Karthik 1/21
MI WON MATCH BY7 WICKETS.
Mumbai Indians started the chase with a graceful four down the leg side by Dhawan, and chase was going in gr8 guns from both the openers as fifty was raised just in 26 balls.. Murali karthik got the breakthru in his first over, but it didnt change much again as tiwary and sachin continued to milk runs from all ends. Finally Tiwary was out to a blinder from DADA as he pulled a stunner. But its all too late as Mumbai captain Sachin took past the winning line very safely…. Which puts them right on the top of the standings table.
