IPL 6: Day 46–Azhar’s Heroics & Kohli’s Aggression for the day…

May 19, 2013 at 1:05 am (Cricket, IPL, IPL 2013, IPL 6) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Hi…

Game 1, Last game in cricket field for the Australian Wicket keeping legend Gilchrist. Rohit won the toss and decided to field first, Both the openers didn’t make a big impression as they departed with 6 on the board. It was left to Azhar Mahmood & Marsh to take the KXIP into safety, which they both did perfectly with timed aggression with a partnership of 148 runs. Later scoring 80 of 44 balls and Marsh got 63 from 47 balls. Manan Vohra late 20 made sure KXIP scored 183 in 20 overs. Mumbai was totally out of form today, no one looked to get going at any point and credit also goes to KXIP bowlers who kept Mumbai always in the bay. However best part is when Gilly bowled the last over for the first time in his cricketing career and picked wicket in the very first ball. Later followed the Gilly’s own version of Gagnam style to end the veteran’s cricketing career.

Kings XI Punjab won the match by 50 runs…

Game 2, Just time pass for the crowd should we call it, rain curtailed match and 8 overs per side. Tailor made situation for players like Gayle, Kohli & ABD. RCB in a do or die situation came really good with skipper leading from the front scoring a quick fifty. Few skiers from Gayle in the middle overs made sure to get mammoth 106/2 in 8 overs. CSK never got into chase, late strike from Dhoni & Vijay made sure CSK scored 82 runs. RCB won a very important game and now they will be hoping KKR to win the game against SRH tomorrow and make way for RCB to playoff’s.

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match by 24 runs…

Standings as on DAY 46:

May 15, 2011 at 12:40 am (Cricket, IPL, IPL 2011, IPL 4) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Hi Guys,

Match 58, to fight for the top place, RCB took on KKR, Stand in captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to field first, KKR got off to a poor start by losing top three with score being just 30, it would have be disaster if Pathan was held when he was in 7. It went down and he took charge and started hitting the skies, but even before the ball came, rain came down and match was curtailed to 13 over per side. Which left KKR 89/4 in 13 overs, and corrected score was 102 to win in 13 overs. As usual another Gayle’s Knock which made things easier for RCB, 38 from 12 balls ended the match in the 3rd over and RCB just played the fiddle out to win the game by 4 wickets and 3 balls to spare.

Match 59, Another chance for Mumbai Indians to go up the table, with listless Deccan’s take them in Wankade Stadium. As Sangakarra won the toss and decided to Bat first, but got to a hopeless start as Michael Lumb lost his stumps to yet another Malinga’s spl. Apart from last over heroics from Amit Mishra, Deccan’s batting looked so much in ordinary, Spectacular last over got Deccan’s to 135/6 in 20 overs. Out of 10 times, Mumbai would have taken this score all the 10 times, It wasn’t the case, as wickets kept on falling for Mumbai and they went on for their consecutive batting failure, Top order failed miserably, with Sachin just scoring 37 off 42 balls. Later in the game, Pollard tried with few lusty hits, but its too much for him. Bottom tabled Deccan’s pulled a stunning victory over the favourites with 10 runs.

Hi Guys,

Match 48, Two inform teams meet out to get themselves well set for second position, But it wasn’t the case as rain played the spoilsport and CSK was once again in the receiving end and Duckworth Lewis favoured KKR to win the match by 10 runs.

Match 49, Another decider game for Delhi and Mumbai’s game to cement their place in Semi’s. As always Mumbai got off to a good start, following it Rayudu and Rohit Sharma gave the necessary impetus to get Mumbai to their second highest total of this season 178/4. Only Shewag can save them can he do it again, Nope… Delhi was 7/4 in 4 overs and game was over by then and the rest tried to pass time to evade the impossible. Finally its Mumbai Indians who will be the first team to cement their place in Semi’s, which also means that Delhi is out of the context for this season of IPL. Hard luck Shewag….

Standings as on DAY 30:

ICC T20 Day 2 matches..

June 7, 2009 at 2:34 am (ICC T20) (, , , , , , , , )

hi guys,

Three games on Day 2 of ICC T20 world cup…

Game 4:

India Vs Bangladesh

India won the toss and decided to bat first, Shewag wasn’t fit enough to take the game and he was rested and rohit opened the innings with Gambhir, Both played well right from the front, then when rohit gone after a good knock of 36, Skipper dhoni joined gambhir, but Bangladeshi bowlers bowled really well in the middle overs to keep India so quiet, India scored 112/1 in 15 overs, then when dhoni tried something different he too was back into hut, the the innings which changed the game came from the bat of Yuvi, as he smacked the ball all over park, to score a quick fire 41 of just 18 balls. Other end Gambhir completed his 50 and went back in the very next ball. Later two lusty blows by Irfan got india to a score of 180 in 20 overs. Bowlers did the job to the minimal level, every1 bowled their first 2 overs really well and couldn’t maintain it till the end.

bjgh

Bangladesh chasing a score of 9 an over, looked to march for the target with openers taking chances, soon Dhoni rotated teh change which removed one of the opener. Then asraful and u can name all, came and batted for few minutes, none continued or converted into a little longer innings, which really was the downfall of them. Ojha bowled exceptionally well for India as he picked up 4 wickets in his 4 overs, he also recorded the second best bowling figure by an indian. chart is lead by Rp singh 4/19…

Finally India won the match by 25 runs…

Game 3:

Australia vs West indies

Its a cake walk for west indies as Gayle put up a demolishing show for west indies as they cruised to the target of 170 in just 15 overs. before australia was very well restriced by WI in their bowling and fielding…

Australia won the match by 7 wickets.

Game 2:

Scotland Vs New zealand

Totally affected by rain, which allowed just 7 overs a side, which means, go and come… Scotland to all surprise scored 89 runs in 7 overs.. which also a shock for new zealand, as they didnt expect this assault from them… But New zealand counter attached them in the classic fashion as Jessie Ryder scored a quick fire 31…. and New zealand reached the target with one more over to spare…

New zealand won the match by 7 wickets….
