Hi all,

Match 44:

Kings XI Punjab Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore

Having won the last game against Chennai in Chennai, KXIP will be much confident than RCB who had a washed out game.

David Hussey won the toss and decided to field first, RCB lost Mayank Agarwal early, but Kohli & Gayle came together to gel in a good partnership for RCB which longed for 119 runs for the second wicket, just when both looked set and ready to launch the assault, both had been dismissed. Also some very good death bowling from KXIP ensured RCB fell two runs short of 160 mark. Azhar Mahmood being the key player in which KXIP allowed only 30 runs in last 5 overs.

KXIP needed 8 runs an over to chase the target, in form player Shaun Marsh went for a expansive drive which exposed the bat pad gap, for McDonald to seize the opportunity, he went for 8.  Mandeep Singh & Saini got together for a small time got a fifty partnership in no time after Mandeep Hussey joined Saini for another 50 runs partnership, which almost took KXIP to the door of victory. But all of a sudden some frenetic running between wickets costed KXIP 3 wickets in 8 balls to get the equation to 5 runs of last 6 balls, with 2 new batsmen in the crease. How ever Chawla ensure he is no muck with the bat, who slammed the length ball into the crowd in the penultimate ball to seal the victory for KXIP.

KXIP won the match by 4 wickets with 1 ball to spare…

IPL 3: Day 28 Review…

April 9, 2010 at 12:45 am (IPL, IPL 3) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Hi Guys,

Its Day 28 in IPL 3…

Match 40 Review:
Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Deccan Chargers

If u can think back, this is the match between Last year’s Finalist’s… Now every game becomes a Must win game for some one, Points table is clustered like hell, cant take any one into last four and leave out. Except for first and last rest all 6 teams are twisted and turned together. Today win for Deccan will make table much more interesting, if its Bangalore, then v can say competition will be between 4 teams for 2 slots.

Gilly won the coin and decided to Bowl First, and usual script to be written, Kallis was brilliant and scored yet another Half century, Pandey didnt make a start which RCB would have loved, as he dismissed for 1. After him Dravid walked in at No.3 (Big Surprise), played for some time, with a Classic six over Long off. Later he was dismissed to a well bowled ball from Ojha, with him another two followed back quickly, to name them Uthappa and Ross Taylor. Playing his first game in IPL Taylor failed to make an impression. Scorecard read 68/4 in 10 overs. Again i am sure even kumble would be satisfied with a score of 150-160. At the end of 16 overs score was 118/4, this is the time Kohli started to fire in all guns, he thrashed all bowlers and took them for maximum. late sixes from White made sure RCB cross a total of 184. Once again Deccan’s proved why they are the worst in last 6 overs. As RCB accumulated 92 runs in last 6 overs.

RCB 184/6 in 20 overs.

J.Kallis 68        V.Kohli 58
R.Harris 2/37     P.Ojha 2/24

DC 186/3 in 19.2 overs.

T.Suman 78*          Symonds 53*
P.Kumar 1/37    A.Kumble 1/38

DC WON THE MATCH BY 7 WICKETS.

A team who needed just 6 runs in last over with 3 wickets in hand, failed to achieve it. This is what Deccans will take into chase, As usual another dismal start from some opener, this time Monish Mishra as he was caught behind for 9, with score 11 in board. Suman and Gilly continued to haunt RCB and kept the run rate in and around 10 all the time, Kumble brought himself back on to remove Gilly who looked almost settle this time, and double strike came as Rohit sharma was also dismissed in space of 6 balls. Once again Chase began to play trick for DC’s, as they haven’t chased this big score so far in IPL. Suman was joined by Symo, Its always said, Big players deliver at the right time, did they say after seeing Symonds…? Ofcourse he did deliver with a beautiful aggressive innings to clinch the much needed victory for DC’s. Which meant now RCB still in 10 points and DC’s move close to 10 pointers with 8 point now. as i was saying in the front, Points Table, its time to take bets… Only gambler can predict these situations….

Standings as On DAY 28 in IPL 3:

IPL 2: Day 28 Review..Its DD Vs KXIP..

May 16, 2009 at 1:08 am (IPL) (, , , , , , , , , , , )

Hi..

Its Day 28 in IPL 2…

Match 46:

Kings XI Punjab Vs Delhi Daredevils.

Looking into the game, its a must win for KXIP for the berth in semi’s (Oh man, don’t feel bored i have no other option to write this line again and again) and for Delhi, its game to boost their confidence for their semi finals. Yuvi won the toss and decided to field first, A its really good to see Shewag and Gambhir together swing their arms and entering the field, they did so…. But the party didnt last for long, Lee the show stopper, took shewag with a delivery to the hips on legside and as usual typical shewag chased and produced the nick to get himself out. Later on, a powerful batting line up doesn’t seem to work out their magic, one after the other kept on walking, Gambhir, De Villers, Dilshan…. At the stage of 51/4 Manhas and Karthik clubbed together for a very important 50 run partnership to get past 100 run mark for Delhi. Very soon parade started and batsmen started walking back in a hurry without making any scores.

All due credit goes to KXIP Bowlers, they bowled extremely well with Lee steering the ship from front, Surprised to see Sreesanth back in form, bowled well too…  Both him and Pathan picked up couple of wickets.  All did a good job to peck back the top team to just 120 runs.

match 46

Very soon Delhi said, why they were in the Top of the league, picking up 3 quick wickets up infront. It cud have been easily four, if  Gambhir hadn’t dropped Yuvi in the slips and its a sitter. Later on Yuvi and Sangakarra did the repair work for Punjab in a slow pace, didn’t rush much, which kept the run rate creeping slowing, just to bring it down, Yuvi fell to the hands of Shewag, with Sangwan bowling a wide delivery. Pathan joined Sangakarra, and Irfan said, he is the brother of Yusuf, with a Master stroke of 3 sixes in an innings of 21 runs.  I would say Irfan has won the game for KXIP, and not Sangakarra. My MOM would be pathan or his 21 runs and 2 wickets. Lucky Sangakarra got it.

Bowling both and Nehra and Maharoof bowled really well, as i was saying to the chennia match, same here, good bowling but not enough runs on the board.

KXIP won the Very important Match by 6 wickets. By which Table looks so closely knitted together, pls get me glasses to see some seperation between them…
