Hi Guys,

Match 50, Jaywardene locks horns with Vettori, on an important game to keep themselves safe for the coming games. As he won the coin and decided to bat, things looke good when they were 64/1 in 9 overs, but from then, its Men in Green proved too much to keep Tuskars out of the game as they ended with just paltry 125/9 in 20 overs. Later in the match One man with mission Gayle went ballistic once again to give KTK a huge shock as he piled 37 runs in an over, with 4 sixes and 3 boundaries including a no ball. Which literally closed the doors for KTK and its over as Kohli and Dilshan finished the rituals with 9 wickets to spare along with 41 deliveries.

Match 51, With 7 loses on trot for Yuvi and a crucial game for KXIP, as Gilly decided to bat first, he wasn’t there to make his decision right but Shaun marsh, Dinesh Karthik and Valthaty tried level best to bring KXIP to 119/8 in 20 overs. Again Rahul Sharma was the key bowler for Pune, as he picked two crucial opening wickets at the right time. A 6 run per over chase was always easy and it was as Ryder, Uthappa and later Yuvi all chipped in to end the 7 match losing streak for Pune. Eventhough they are out of contention for this season, Yuvi was very sure to spoil the party of others.

May 8, 2011 at 12:53 am (Cricket, IPL, IPL 2011, IPL 4) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Hi Guys,

Match 48, Two inform teams meet out to get themselves well set for second position, But it wasn’t the case as rain played the spoilsport and CSK was once again in the receiving end and Duckworth Lewis favoured KKR to win the match by 10 runs.

Match 49, Another decider game for Delhi and Mumbai’s game to cement their place in Semi’s. As always Mumbai got off to a good start, following it Rayudu and Rohit Sharma gave the necessary impetus to get Mumbai to their second highest total of this season 178/4. Only Shewag can save them can he do it again, Nope… Delhi was 7/4 in 4 overs and game was over by then and the rest tried to pass time to evade the impossible. Finally its Mumbai Indians who will be the first team to cement their place in Semi’s, which also means that Delhi is out of the context for this season of IPL. Hard luck Shewag….

Standings as on DAY 30:

IPL 4: DAY 29 Review…

May 7, 2011 at 1:17 am (Cricket, IPL, IPL 2011, IPL 4) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Hi guys,

Another day one man stealing the show.

Match 47, RCB takes on KXIP, both after a break, Just for the namesake i did say that. As Gilly won the toss and decided to field first, he ll be happy only once for his decision when Ryan Harris bowled a second over Maiden, From then on, Its Gayle’s brutal force massacred the KXIP bowlers all over the park, to become the first player to register second century in IPL history so far. Yesterday Shewag did forgot to mention the name of Gayle in his presentation about the game changers, So Gayle did make a strong statement to him. With some more lusty blows RCB went past 205/6 in 20 overs.  KXIP having already chased a score above 200 once against Delhi, seems will give a fight, but it wasn’t the case as Gilly went for a first ball duck and from then on, KXIP even tried hard to maintain a runrate of 6 per over, eventually they got there as they ended the innings with 120/9 in 20 overs. Bowling of RCB was easy with so many runs on the board and batsmen are ready to give it a go every ball. Aravinf picked 4 wickets, and again Gayle picked 3 to his name. Just one word u can hear in Chinnaswamy Stadium its GAYLE GAYLE GAYLE….

Standings as on DAY 29:
