IPL 5: Day 36–Warner’s Ton & CSK’s Australianisam prevails…

May 11, 2012 at 11:56 am (Cricket, IPL, IPL 2012, IPL 5) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Hi all,

Another enthralling day in IPL 5…

Match 55:

Delhi Daredevils Vs Deccan Chargers

Delhi’s David Warner’s swashbuckling century grounded Deccan Chargers even after scoring a decent total of 187 in 20 overs. Warner finished with 109* along with Naman Ojha who scored a unbeaten 64*.

Earlier in the day Dhawan and White made their efforts to pick up the score to 187, they did little know it would be chased with 20 balls to spare. With this win Delhi move to the Top of the table, riding past KKR who is with 17 points with the same no .of matches.

Match 56:

Chennai Super Kings Vs Rajasthan Royals

Rain intruded match started bit delayed, with enough breeze ball swung beautifully in both ways, Which Hilfenhaus used to his advantage picking up 4-1-8-2. Stringent bowling from CSK meant Royals weren’t able to pick the gaps easily and they finished with the lowest score of this season 126/6 in 20 overs.

Chennai started off again on a wrong foot, this time Vijay going for a duck. Hussey & Raina continued to score in the difficult track with slow pace. Raina departed after a sudden brain freeze shot where CSK were 36/2 in 6 overs. Dhoni & Bravo couldn’t help much in scoring, Jaddu scored 16 runs with a boundary & a six. It looked almost game Royals when Jaddu departed with a score of 84, needing 43 runs in 20 balls. But new entrant Anirutha Sreekanth & Albie Morkel had a different plan, where they went berserk for next balls and match was over and Chennai won by 4 wicket with 11 balls to spare. Both Aniruth Srikkanth & Albie Morkel had the same figures in their batting, as we can see, both scored 18 runs in 6 balls with 2 sixes and 1 boundary. Finally Australianism in CSK prevailed atleast once for this season.

Interesting facts as on Day 36:

– 109* scored by David Warner is the highest individual score of this season, bettering Rahane & Pieterson’s 103 runs.

– 126/6 is the lowest total scored by Rajasthan royals for this season.

– Andre Russell made his IPL debut for Delhi Daredevils.

– 189* runs partnership between David Warner & Naman Ojha is the highest partnership of this season, and 2nd highest of all time just behind 206 runs of Gilly & Marsh against RCB.

– David Warner scored the third ton of this season and second century in IPL.

– 380 runs scored in 36.4 is the third time highest in match aggregates for this season, but the runrate of 10.36 occupies the top position bettering 10.32 by RCB Vs CSK.

– Ben Hilfenhaus bowled the most economical spell of this season, bowling 4-1-8-2, at an economy of 2/over, he shares the record with Praveen Kumar who has 4-0-8-0.

– David Warner’s century of 52 balls is the fastest of this season.

– 28 runs scored in powerplay by Rajasthan is the lowest powerplay score for them for this season.

– Both Aniruth Srikkanth & Albie Morkel had the same figures in their batting, as we can see, both scored 18 runs in 6 balls with 2 sixes and 1 boundary.

– Victory by 11 balls for CSK is the highest no. of balls remaining for them in this season, on the other two occasions they reached the winning score in the last ball of the match one was with RCB & the other was Rajasthan Royals.

– Ben Hilfenhaus bowled the 21st Maiden of this season.

At the end of DAY 36:

IPL 5: Day 34 – Watson’s One Man Show & Mandeep’s Heroics…

May 9, 2012 at 12:35 am (Cricket, IPL, IPL 2012, IPL 5) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Hi all,

Match 52:

Pune Warriors India Vs Rajasthan Royals

Important game for Dravid to get a win against slightly easier team to beat at this stage rather to face Chennai & Mumbai and decide the place for Play off’s. Dada its time to restore some pride for himself and for his team as well, who knows this very well may be his last season of IPL.

Ganguly won the toss and decided to bat first, Finally Dada back to his place, opened the innings along with Aussies counter part Clarke, didn’t click for long, Dada departed just before powerplay for 14 runs of 16 balls. To say i can’t write anything much about anyone as everyone was struggling to get the ball out of the pitch, Majumadar who play two exquisite shots which are the only two sixes for Pune innings.  Credit to Rajasthan bowlers as well, they have been fantastic bowled to their field and plan. Tait,Botha & Binny were too good on the day. As Pune finished their innings with 125/6 in 20 overs which had only 5 fours and 2 sixes.

Chasing a score close to 6 an over is a cake walk, but u never know, just when we thought that Smith pulled off a blinder to remove inform Rahane to remove for a duck. Dravid was also out too soon, but Watson decided to make it a one man show and he did as well. He pummelled 10 fours and 4 sixes to score 90 runs in just 51 balls and sealed the match for Rajasthan Royals in 16.2 overs. All to say Just man was there in second innings and it is Shane Watson from Australia.

Rajasthan Royals won the game by 7 Wickets with 22 balls to spare…

Match 53:

Deccan Chargers Vs Kings XI Punjab

Same as Rajasthan important game for Kings XI Punjab who is also at 10 points need this win to be in the tournament with tough games coming up especially a couple against Delhi, too tough to say though. On the other side take away two points team at this stage for any opponent in IPL 5.

Deccan’s won the toss and decided to field first, Thankfully KXIP obliged and got to a flying start with Marsh & Mandeep with 55 runs in 6 odd overs. Mandeep’s brilliance in batting was quite clearly displayed as he despatched the DC bowlers in ease, excellent textbook shot as well, with 8 fours and 3 hits over the fence Mandeep finally missed a straighter one trying to slog, while he was at 75 runs. Miller gave the late surge to boost KXIP total as it looked inflate enough to fly away for victory. 170/5 in 20 overs.

Deccan Chargers didn’t show much hope in chasing the score, as they they 2 wickets for 31 runs, fromthen Dr.Harris & White tried to come back in the game with 40 odd runs partnership, but KXIP stand in skipper decided to bowl just one over in which he picked both the set batsmen to pavilion. Batsmen who came down the order just played out, to be fair to them pitch was quite uneven in the bounce as well. they can’t do much about it. In the end DC finished with 145/8 in 20 overs.

KXIP won the game by 25 runs.

Standings as on DAY 34:

Interesting facts as on Day 34:

–           5 fours and 2 sixes a total of just 32 runs scored by Pune warriors in boundary is the lowest runs scored in boundaries.

–          90* is the highest score for Shane Watson bettering 89 not out in season 1.

–          Pune Warriors didn’t bowl even a single extra for a day.

–          Anustip Majumdar made his IPL debut for Pune Warriors India.

–          Rajasthan’s 22 balls victory is the highest ever by any other team other than Delhi daredevils who top the list with better than this. List goes as 40, 31, 28 & 24 balls.

–          75 runs for Mandeep singh is the highest score in IPL career.

At the end of DAY 34:

No. of Catches dropped for the day – 3

Total no. of Boundaries – 1282

Total no. of Sixes – 490

Longest Six – C. Gayle – 111 & 106 Meters followed by K. Pollard – 105 Meters

Most no. of Fours – A.Rahane (61) followed by V.Shewag (54)

IPL 5–Day 25: Morkel & Steyn fire powers steal the show…

April 29, 2012 at 11:30 pm (Cricket, IPL, IPL 2012, IPL 5) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Hi all,

Was taken off from net for couple of day due to some unavoidable situations, Never mind, its time to be back…

Match 39:

Delhi Daredevils Vs Rajasthan Royals

Delhi’s prime form continued as their skipper notched up fourth consecutive fifty in IPL and some good bowling kept Delhi to 152 runs, which is a par score when you compare the batting fire power of Delhi.

 Match 39

Chasing a total of 153 was made elegant and easy by both the opener’s Dravid & Rahane, they found boundaries when ever necessary and kept the run rate in control. At the end of 18th over Royals need 15 runs of 12 balls with 9 wickets in hand, it game Rajasthan for all taking, but out of no where Morne Morkel produced one of the best depth over to restrict it to a 3 run over with the prize scalp of Hodge in it. Rahane wasn’t bogged he tried his level best, even picking up a six in the 4th ball of last over, but still he missed the very important last ball to connect, but Naman Ojah doesn’t fail to connect the stumps and Owasis shah failed to make it to the other end. Its a thrilling one run victory for the table toppers.

Match 40:

Deccan Chargers Vs Mumbai Indians

Deccan’s win in last game didn’t help much in their batting to improve, not to blame the batting, some class bowling from Malinga & Bhajji also didn’t help Deccan to build a partnership in a seeming wicket. Deccan’s managed to go past lowest score of this season 92 and finished the line with exactly 100 on board. Malinga picked 4, Skipper & Franklin picked a couple each.

Match 40

Sachin & Levi walked out to face Steyn, and Levi was gone in the very first ball of the match, Steyn didn’t stop as he followed with fiery spell to restrict Mumbai from the victory, but he failed to get the support from his counterparts who leaked runs in regular intervals. Mumbai in the end won the game by 5 wicket to spare with 11 balls in hand, if not for steyn, it would have been much more higher than it looks.

Standings as on DAY 25:

Standings (5)

Interesting facts as on Day 25:

– Shewag became the first player to score 4 consecutive fifty in IPL history.

– 10 runs from 4 overs by Dale Steyn is the most economical bowling by any bowler for this season, he bettered Umesh Yadav’s 11 runs of 4 overs.

– Delhi registered the first 1 run victory for this season.

– 6th Match in IPL season 5 which went till the last ball.

– Shewag & Gayle are the only two players who have scored 4 fifties this season.

– Cameron Whote became the fourth Skipper to be dismissed for a duck, after Gambhir, Shewag & Harbhajan in this season.

– Dravid & Rahane set the 5th 50 runs partnership between them, highest ever by any pair for this season.

– Lasith Malinga became the first bowler to inflict two Golden ducks in a match, Cameron White & Veer Pratap Singh.

– Rahane became the first to go past 400 runs mark in this season of IPL.

– 100 runs scored by Deccan is the second lowest score for this season, just above Mumbai’s 92 runs.

At the end of DAY 25:

No. of Catches dropped for the day – 3

Total no. of Boundaries – 939

Total no. of Sixes – 380

Longest Six – Chris Gayle – 106 Meters followed by Kieron Pollard – 105 Meters.

Most no. of Fours – A.Rahane (43) followed by G.Gambhir (28)

Most no. of Sixes –Chris Gayle (19) followed by K.Pietersen (14)

Orange Cap –A.Rahane (416) followed by V.Shewag (372)

Match 28:

Mumbai Indians Vs Kings XI Punjab

KXIP needs to win this game to be in the pool of points table, and they will face a mighty task though. Mumbai won the toss and decided to bat first, having brought Sachin back into the squad. Start was quiet slow though as they piled up close to 6 runs per over at the midway and they lost Sachin & Rohit Sharma. Some late hitting’s from Dinesh Karthik & Opener Franklin made sure MI went past the average score 164/6 in 20 overs.

Match 28

Need a good start to steady the innings Saini & Mandeep gave them the one, as they took 48 runs in first 6 overs. After both the openers made their way back both Aussies Hussey & Marsh built a solid partnership in the middle overs. Hussey departed to up the antiques, but Marsh along with Azhar Mahmood in the end mad sure Kings XI once again crossed the ropes safely, this is second time he brings them a victory, out of 3. As KING XI won the match by 6 wickets with 3 balls to spare.

Match 29:

Kolkata Knight Riders Vs Deccan Chargers

DC needing a start for this season still searching for that elusive win, KKR will look to extend their run of winning. Gambhir decided to field first, Nothing much to write abt it, Rain delayed the start, but it was a 20 overs game still. Dhawan scored a fifty for himself, but none of the batsmen looked threatening, to say not even comfortable, as DC finished with 126/7 in 20 overs, Much lesser than the par score. Balaji & Lee were terrific with their pace bowling, as Lee amazed with 4 over 15/1.

Match 29

Knight riders had a easy chase in their hands, as always Steyn stepped up to the occasion picked up some wickets up front, but with the score like 126 u can’t do much, as KKR chased easily with 1 over and 5 wickets spare. Thanks to Gambhir & Tiwary who guided the chase smoothly. Lee got the man of the match for his fiery spell.

IPL 5 – Day 6: Mumbai Wins, Cricket Loses…

April 10, 2012 at 1:14 am (Cricket, IPL, IPL 2012, IPL 5) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Match 9:

Mumbai Indians Vs Deccan Chargers

Having lost their second game against Pune Warriors, Mumbai want to get back in the winning track, Deccan’s will look for some spirited game to begin their win for this season.

Sangakarra, Skipper back won the toss and decided to bat first, Not a bad start for a T20 game, as they were 45/2 in first 6 overs. Dhawan went right after the powerplay, then its time for Sangakarra & Christian to build the innings, which they did so. Until the ugliest way of getting out the batsmen happened.

Munaf Patel’s ball brushed the off stump, which lead to disturbed bails, since at the same moment, Ball redirected to stumps after hitting keeper Karthik’s pads, all happened in fraction of a second, and umpires decided its not out. But what happened moments after that would have never made a cricket fan proud, Both Munaf & Harbhajan argued for more than 5 mins and forced the umpire to ask the Third Umpire, which eventually got them the wicket, but certainly not the fans. After few good shot in the end, Deccan’s finished the below par score of 138/9 in 20 overs.

Mumbai had a very shaky start, thanks to some fiery bowling from Dale Steyn, he bowled with speed, aggression and u name any u want. A perfect T20 spell to jolt Mumbai with 2 quick wickets. Then its time for Rohit Sharma & Rayudu to stitch in a important partnership to bring back the innings in track, which they did with a 48 run partnership. Pollard struck few mighty blows showing what he is capable off. Dale Steyn came back to bring Deccan’s closer to victory, with another 2 back to back overs, needing 18 off the last over, Rohit Sharma held his nerve to finish off in Miandad six style, even though they needed just 3 to win in the last ball. Cracker off a game, other than the shameful incident.

Standings as on DAY 6:

Interesting Facts as on Day 6:

–          Dale Steyn bowled the 3rd Maiden of this season; ironically all three bowled are Wicket Maidens.

–          73* is the second highest in this season of IPL, list is topped by A.Rahane’s 98.

–          First match of this season to finish on the last ball of the match.

–          Rohit Sharma became the fifth player of this season to score a fifty (R.Levi, AB de Villers, M.Tiwary, A.Rahane), except for Manoj Tiwary’s fifty all has ended in the winning note.

–          Rohit Sharma with his 5 sixes for the day, equalled with Dwayne Bravo for highest no. of sixes hit in an innings.

At the end of DAY 6:

No. of Catches dropped for the day – 0

Total no. of Boundaries – 191

Total no. of Sixes – 87

IPL 3: Semi-final 2 – CSK Vs DC…

April 23, 2010 at 1:34 am (IPL, IPL 3) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Hi Guys,

Its Second Semi Finals in IPL 3…

Match 58 Review:

Chennai Super Kings Vs Deccan Chargers

Defending IPL Champions take on 3 time semi finalist Chennai Super Kings in a Knockout game, Winner will meet mighty Mumbai in their own den on coming Sunday. After seein KP getting a good spin CSK strengthened their Spin dept by adding Spin Maestro Muarli to the squad alongside with local Spin Duo Ashwin and Jakathi. Deccan got their Big Final’s player Gibbs and Harris back to their squad, in place of Vaas and Mitch Marsh.

Dhoni won the coin and decided to BAT first, Hayden walked out with Murali Vijay, Start was so jiggy for both as Hayden was in no mood to stay in crease, as he went on spree to offer chances and Deccan spilled twice to grab the third one finally, and this happened in space of 9 balls. Raina to had a luck, as suman spilled a easy one, but it didnt hurt much as he was taken soon by Symonds, Murali vijay scored a Six and joined second in the no.of Sixes hit this tournament, but Harris halted his run with a prefect straight up delivery full in pads. CSK were tottering 29/3 in 5 overs. Dhoni joined Badrinath to take back the game to a decent position, Dhoni as Indian skipper was in this position many a times, so he did the job in ease and never missed out the opportunity to swing his arms when ever balls were poor and needed to be punished. Just when CSK pulled right back the game, Harmeet stuck gold by removing Dhoni with a Zooter, Morkel came in and he tried to accelerate score and went bacck to a well judged catch by Symonds. Badrinath too unlucky as he peddled the ball back to Gilly and find himself short of crease. Anirudh Srikanth had two lusty sixes to bring CSK closer to 140 run mark. Finally CSK finished with 142/7 in 20 overs. Ryan Harris and Symonds were brilliant with ball to restrict CSK to 142.

CSK 142/7 in 20 overs.

Badrinath 37       Dhoni 30
R,Harris 3/29    Symonds 1/18

DC 104/10 in 19.2 overs.

Symonds 23      Gibbs 18
D.Bollinger 4/13      S.Jakathi 2/44

CSK WON THE MATCH BY 38 RUNS.

Even though Deccan’s have fumbled twice previously against KKR (161) and Mumbai (172), they must be pretty confident to chase down this par score with a deep batting line up. Gilly and Gibbs started the things SLOWLY, may be in their back of mind, they felt that target is easy so they can chase it if we have wicket in hand. So both blundered by scoring at slow pace, not to leave out good bowling and fielding of CSK too. Just before Powerplay was over, Bollinger stuck twice in the over to remove Gilly and Suman to give Chennai the real chance of making into finals. Scorecard read 23/2 in 6 overs, needing 120 from 14 overs, which is almost a runrate of 8/over. From then on writing for me is pretty simple no one kept themselves cool and stuck to wicket to score runs, Cant blame them when runrate is shooting up by 12 an over, so Wickets kept on falling in regular intervals to put break on scoring rate and in the end, Deccan’s lost the game by 38 runs. Bollinger was the star as he picked up 4 wickets for just 13 runs, Which is the so far best performance in this season of IPL 3… Seriously a good margin to win the game as yesterday MI won by 35 runs, which means Dhoni is 3 runs ahead of the Mumbai Indians.. Lets see who will prevail…

Now CSK will Meet MI in finals – Sunday (Both MI and CSK are qualified for Champions League)

RCB will take DC – 3rd place on Saturday.

Interesting Facts on Semis 2 in IPL 3:

– RP Singh has conceded a boundary every 4 deliveries he bowl.

– 88 sixes by Chennai is the most by any team in IPL so far.

– 9th Ball Bad Omen continued for the day as Hayden dismissed today in the 9th ball he

faced, Yesterday, both Kallis and Sachin got out in their 9th Ball.

– DC have picked 29 wickets in the powerplay overs.

– Ojha picked 50th wicket in IPL.

– 43 in ten overs is the Lowest scored in first ten overs by any team in IPL so far.

– 50 runs scored in 11.3 overs is the Slowest in IPL so far.

– 142 is the lowest defended in this IPL, previous was 145 by Deccan Chargers

– With 90 wickets Albie morkel now joins Yasir Arafat for most no.of wickets taken in

T20 cricket.

– Bollinger’s 4/13 is the Best bowling performance in this IPL season, bettering 4/19 by

Angelo Mathews of KKR.

– 4/13 is also the best performance so far in the IPL semifinal and finals, bettering

4/16 by Anil Kumble last year.

– Bollinger was the 5th bowler to pick 4 wickets in a game in IPL 3.

– TOP 3 scorers in IPL played this game, as per order Raina, Gilly and Rohit Sharma.

– Dhoni went past 1000 runs in IPL today, he now has 1005 runs to his name.

– Doug Bollinger bowled the 10th Maiden of this IPL.

At the end of DAY 42:

Total no.of Boundaries – 1668
Total no.of Sixes – 568

Orange Cap – Sachin Tendulkar (570) followed by J.Kallis (553) and S.Ganguly(493).

Hi Guys,

Its Day 28 in IPL 3…

Match 40 Review:
Royal Challengers Bangalore Vs Deccan Chargers

If u can think back, this is the match between Last year’s Finalist’s… Now every game becomes a Must win game for some one, Points table is clustered like hell, cant take any one into last four and leave out. Except for first and last rest all 6 teams are twisted and turned together. Today win for Deccan will make table much more interesting, if its Bangalore, then v can say competition will be between 4 teams for 2 slots.

Gilly won the coin and decided to Bowl First, and usual script to be written, Kallis was brilliant and scored yet another Half century, Pandey didnt make a start which RCB would have loved, as he dismissed for 1. After him Dravid walked in at No.3 (Big Surprise), played for some time, with a Classic six over Long off. Later he was dismissed to a well bowled ball from Ojha, with him another two followed back quickly, to name them Uthappa and Ross Taylor. Playing his first game in IPL Taylor failed to make an impression. Scorecard read 68/4 in 10 overs. Again i am sure even kumble would be satisfied with a score of 150-160. At the end of 16 overs score was 118/4, this is the time Kohli started to fire in all guns, he thrashed all bowlers and took them for maximum. late sixes from White made sure RCB cross a total of 184. Once again Deccan’s proved why they are the worst in last 6 overs. As RCB accumulated 92 runs in last 6 overs.

RCB 184/6 in 20 overs.

J.Kallis 68        V.Kohli 58
R.Harris 2/37     P.Ojha 2/24

DC 186/3 in 19.2 overs.

T.Suman 78*          Symonds 53*
P.Kumar 1/37    A.Kumble 1/38

DC WON THE MATCH BY 7 WICKETS.

A team who needed just 6 runs in last over with 3 wickets in hand, failed to achieve it. This is what Deccans will take into chase, As usual another dismal start from some opener, this time Monish Mishra as he was caught behind for 9, with score 11 in board. Suman and Gilly continued to haunt RCB and kept the run rate in and around 10 all the time, Kumble brought himself back on to remove Gilly who looked almost settle this time, and double strike came as Rohit sharma was also dismissed in space of 6 balls. Once again Chase began to play trick for DC’s, as they haven’t chased this big score so far in IPL. Suman was joined by Symo, Its always said, Big players deliver at the right time, did they say after seeing Symonds…? Ofcourse he did deliver with a beautiful aggressive innings to clinch the much needed victory for DC’s. Which meant now RCB still in 10 points and DC’s move close to 10 pointers with 8 point now. as i was saying in the front, Points Table, its time to take bets… Only gambler can predict these situations….

IPL 3: Day 25 Review…

April 6, 2010 at 1:47 am (IPL, IPL 3) (, , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , )

Hi Guys,

Its Day 25 in IPL…

Match 36 Review:
Deccan Chargers Vs Rajasthan Royals

A very important game for Three teams (am i confusing…?) Really not, third team looking close to this game is CSK, who ever win will make tough for the CSK, so they will be keen in this match result.

Both teams Must win situation, Two Australian Legends head to Head. Gilly Vs Warne. Who will prevail.. Game had the answer for all who will be missing their nails by now (If u had nails u would have spitted out in this NAIL biting finish)..

Deccan home away home doesn’t favour in toss too, Shane won the toss and decided to Bat First,  Cant say the best of the start, Lost both their openers in the third over, but not Watson as he continued play the innings where he left in the last game, (aided by Harris who also joined the list of catch missers) End of six overs, RR are 48/2… Fazal played along with Watson, who did play most part of the innings, finally Ojha got the best of Fazal, dismissing him in the 11th over, scorecard was 94/3 then, To add worry to injury Yusuf was caught out just for 4. Shilpa and Shamita kicked the chairs, which really meant the importance. Watson Continued to roll, at the end of 15 overs RR were 128/4, RR would certainly want to make up 180 from this position tat too with watson still in crease, (Plus u can count on Deccan’s last five over worst average of 11.32 runs), But it all went myth as Deccan’s spurred with wickets and RR went on for leather hunt, finally dismissing before finishing of the allotted 20 overs for 159. Deccan’s certainly pulled back the game on track, which shud really boost their confidence when they come into strike.

RR 159/10 in 19.5 overs.

S.Watson 58        Fazal 36
RP Singh 3/17      Harmeet Singh 2/25

DC 157/10 in 19.5 overs.

R.Sharma 73             Gilchrist 34
S.Warne 4/21       S.Trivedi 3/16

RR WON THE MATCH BY 2 RUNS.

After a better performance in Bowling, DC looked quite positive in batting, Gilly took Watson’s over to start the proceeding, Shane got the debutant Dole to bowl at laxman , which resulted immediately as he was pouched in deep square for just 6. Gilly took him also but eventually Dole got him with a shorter delivery which troubled him throughout this season. Symonds and Rohit played sensible innings to sustain the scoring rate. Symonds was also constantly troubled by bouncers from rajasthan bowlers, finally it did pay dividend as he was out for 15 in 11th over. Sharma was joined by Aniruth singh, both almost closed the gates for Royals as scorecard was 112/3. needing 48 from 38 balls. Any day in T20 game with 7 wickets in hand, call it icing in the cake. Spin Legend Shane warne had other ideas as he started to spin the web sharp leaving rohit and venomed on rest wh0 didnt have much exposure to class act, All of sudden 141/7 in 18 overs. Needing another 19 in last 2 overs, Rohit still around proved his selection right by picking 13 runs (Inclusive of one boundary and a six)in the penultimate over, leaving just 6 needed of last one. This isn’t new for Rajasthan as they have been in this situation many a times, Trivedi bowled the last over to choke Deccan’s to lose the match in the end, still leaving one ball to face. Rohit sharma who was the last man to dismissed throwed down his bat in disgust. Can feel how will it be to battle all alone with no one to help around, feeling sorry for this man… In the end Rajasthan prevail the nail biting finish to give headache to CSK. Bcos RR go past CSK with 10 point. Tomorrow’s game is certainly the game for Chennai, they have play their skin out, to beat a team like Mumbai.
